Kidderminster Hospital Radio was founded in 1973 by Phil Hailes and Trish Edwards, We had our first committee meeting on the 30th October 1973 and first broadcasted on 30th August 1975 and went by the name "Radio Kidderminster Hospital Broadcasting Service"

Our first studio was a small room in the Haematology Block, Then in May 1987 after a lot of fundraising we got our purpose-built studio on Franchise Street the studio cost £35,000


We are a member of the HBA And our Charity Number is 504596
As a registered charity we rely entirely on volunteers, fundraising and membership fees to support our service.

We are always keen to welcome new members on and off the air. Kidderminster Hospital Radio is run entirely by volunteers.

We broadcast to Kidderminster Hospital on Channel 1 And In The Treatment Centre on Channel 12 We also have speakers around the Hospital.
